I did a double pattern testing for the two new woven patterns from Simple Life Pattern Company.
The first one is Mattie’s Scalloped Skirt. This skirt is so adorable on little girls, and it will also be a good transition piece for the fall and winter with tights.
It is made for woven fabrics. I used a quilting cotton from Art Gallery for my skirt.
I made the mid waisted one with no suspenders. There are so many other options for the skirt including: high waisted, ruffle on top of waist, and suspenders.
It is so gorgeous with the scallops, and I plan to make many more for the Fall.
Second Pattern up is the Helena’s Button Back Top and Dress. This is such a cute dress, and the shirt design is even cuter.
I did a sleeveless dress, but there are also sleeves that are included. It is for woven fabrics. I used an eyelet with a broadcloth lining,
Both patterns would be considered a beginner to intermediate, depending on if you struggle with buttonholes, or not.
I am going to make plenty of these for the fall and winter. The dress has a full length sleeve option that will be a great addition to the winter wardrobe I have planned.
